Location:
Cheng Hua Primary School is located in Chengdu, a modern metropolis of West China. There is a famous National Giant Panda Researching Center in this area and a Modern Music Park of industrialized architectural style in the neighborhood. As a city of more than 2300 years old, Chengdu used to win the "UN Habitat Scroll of Honor Award" and the titles of "the Happiest City of Chinese Mainland" and "the Best Tourist City of China". 在常規(guī)課程之外，成華小學(xué)開設(shè)了具有濃郁特色的美育校本課程，以選修課、綜合實踐課為主。成華小學(xué)“學(xué)生社團(tuán)”近百個：武術(shù)社、剪紙社、刺繡社、書法社、美術(shù)社、舞蹈社、合唱社、機(jī)器人社……讓學(xué)生根據(jù)興趣自由選擇，每周都可以在豐富多彩的社團(tuán)活動中實踐，素質(zhì)和能力得到了鍛煉提高。
學(xué)校藝術(shù)教育特色濃郁。舞蹈隊、管樂團(tuán)多次獲得全國、省、市比賽金獎，出訪日本、韓國、新加坡等國家。美術(shù)作品入選全國小學(xué)美術(shù)教材，還有數(shù)副被聯(lián)合國永久收藏。武術(shù)作為全校孩子的普及項目，多次為來自各地的賓客演出。
School Characteristics
Besides regular courses, the school sets up the courses of aesthetic education which are mainly selective and practical. In March, 2010, the activity of "Student Associations" was started in Cheng Hua Primary School. Since then, there have been a lot of associations such as Wushu, paper-cutting art, embroidery art, calligraphy, fine arts, dancing, chorus, and robotics etc. Students can freely select one according to their own interests. Through the weekly practice of various associations, our students can exercise to improve their quality and ability.
This school is strongly characterized by arts education. For many times, our dancing team and wind band have won the gold medals of national, provincial and municipal competitions, and were invited to visit such countries as Japan, South Korea and Singapore etc. The students' art works are selected and recorded by the national teaching material of fine arts, some of which are even permanently collected by the UN. Wushu is a universal and popular program for all the students. They often perform it for guests from around the world.
學(xué)術(shù)成果：
學(xué)校建校二十多年，始終堅持以美育人。兩任校長都代領(lǐng)老師們堅持美育課題研究。多年來相繼獲得四川省政府教學(xué)成果二等獎、四川省基礎(chǔ)教育課程改革成果一等獎、成都市教育科研成果一等獎。
學(xué)校與北京外國語大學(xué)合作，成為了“中國基礎(chǔ)英語素質(zhì)教育實驗基地”學(xué)校，學(xué)生使用英國牛津《典范英語》原版教材。北外教授直接指導(dǎo)英語教師的教學(xué)活動，學(xué)校還開展了豐富多彩的英語實踐活動，進(jìn)一步提升了學(xué)生的英語素養(yǎng)。
Academic Achievements:
Our school has been sticking to the spirit of aesthetic education since the foundation of this school of more than 20 years ago. Under the leadership of the principals for the former two terms, the teachers have been persisting in the research of aesthetic issues. During the years, we have won the second prize of "Sichuan Provincial Teaching Award", the first prize of "Sichuan Provincial Award of Elementary Education Curriculum Reform " and the first prize of "Chengdu Municipal Educational Researching Award".
In November, 2009, in cooperation with Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), our school became one of the experimental bases of China Basic English Quality Education. From then on, the students have been using the original version of Oxford Good English as their English textbooks. Professors from BFSU are directly guiding the English teaching of our school. Besides, we have employed colorful activities of English practice, which further enhance the students' English literacy.

成華小學(xué)的每個孩子在學(xué)校都能得到全面、積極、生動、健康的引導(dǎo)。學(xué)校自建校以來培養(yǎng)了五千余名畢業(yè)生，每年有上百人進(jìn)入全國名優(yōu)中學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。
Student's Developments:
Each student in this school will be fully, actively, lively and healthily guided here. Since the foundation Cheng Hua Primary School, it has cultivated more than 5000 primary school graduates, with nearly 100 students entering national famous secondary schools.
國際交流：
學(xué)校與新加坡百德小學(xué)、新西蘭皇家橡樹小學(xué)結(jié)為國際友好姊妹學(xué)校。接待英國謝菲爾德高中校長黛絲弗女士和澳大利亞友好訪問團(tuán)參觀交流。學(xué)校的很多學(xué)生藝術(shù)作品，曾在美國、俄羅斯、新加坡、韓國、日本展出和交流，目前還在積極地準(zhǔn)備中法兩國友好學(xué)校交流互訪工作。
International Communication:
In April, 2010, Paterson Elementary School in Singapore and Cheng Hua Primary School became sister schools. In may, 2010, Mrs Dunsford, principal of Sheffield High School, visited our school. Many works of the students were exhibited in USA, Russia, Singapore, South Korea and Japan. At present, we are actively preparing for the communication and exchange visits between some French schools and us.
